Rainy Weekend

The boxes arrived on Thursday. Six weeks after I sent them. Long story.

We had to make space in the cupboards for all the stuff. Luckily it rained all weekend, which meant we had time to turn this:

into this:

and this:

Now it's Monday again, and, as always, the thesis...

Well done. I think I need a rainy weekend to sort out my spare room and shed. The boxes are still unpacked from when we moved in 2 years ago, and I would like to have a room for visitors!

hmmmm, sorting things out is even more exhausting than it looks. felt rather flat on monday after not having had a break. but it's extremely good to have it done. just have the paperwork to organize next weekend (should only take a couple of hours), as well as arranging my bookshelf according to subject areas... did you have fun at swansea? anyone important buy books from you? good luck with your boxes...

Yes Swansea was hard work but good fun. Robert Hanning bought a book from me, I don't know if you had read any of his work but I used it in my MA dissertation and I expect I'll use it again later. I was most impressed because he could remember his credit card number by heart!
I managed to catch some of the sessions even though Chaucer is not really my thing. They were very good. The plenary session on 'before Chaucer' was excellent and thought provoking.
